Behind the Lens

Hello! I am the short girl behind the lens who is always laughing and capturing all your life moments! I was born and raised in Boston, MA but moved to Jacksonville, FL in 2000. I consider myself more of a Florida native at this point but Boston will always have a special place in my heart. I picked up my very first camera when I was six years old and I was instantly captivated. I continued to shoot as a hobby as I slowly built a portfolio entering into my teens and early twenties until I finally I took the leap of faith in 2010 to quit my day job and go full time with my passion and make photography my career. It was the scariest and best decision of my life. I tend to find beauty in unexpected locations and moments and my absolute favorite thing is shooting authentic images with natural light that have a romantic and timeless feel to them. My style is a mixture of light and airy with some moody and dramatic vibes thrown in, all while staying true to color and skin tones when editing.

Fourteen years of doing what I love and I am beyond grateful I get to be a part of the most amazing moments in peoples lives. From weddings, engagements, boudoir, maternity, newborns and watching families grow... I absolutely adore what I do. It makes my heart so happy knowing how many people have trusted me with their precious memories through the years. With me, you will not only get your forever photographer but you will also gain a new friend!

We are Krystal + Nick, a photo and film husband + wife team based out of Northeast Florida but you will almost always find us on an adventure elsewhere with cameras in hand, cool dance moves and lots of laughter while documenting your story! This journey has taken us to some beautiful locations for weddings far and wide and we are always up for a new adventure local to Florida or far away. We are both goofballs who want you to not only feel comfortable in front of our lenses but also your absolute best most natural self. We are truly best friends and love what we get to do side by side. Because of our own story together we believe it’s not just about your wedding day that we capture, we also care about your love story and marriage too. We hope you feel like you’ve gained new friends along this journey together and we can’t wait to be a part of your day whether it’s a huge party or intimate and small!

— Our Story —

We like to say that other people’s love stories is what brought us together because we actually met while shooting a wedding! It was the first time we had shot side by side as a photo and video team together and we both distinctly remember how well we worked together and how we just clicked immediately as people. From there we kept referring one another business, a great friendship grew and after a few years we realized we make an amazing team in more ways than one. Nick proposed at Garden of the Gods, so when it came time to plan our own big day we decided we wanted to exchange vows in one of the most special places to us and came back to Colorado to elope! We then went on an epic cross country road trip for our honeymoon followed by an intimate reception later that included tons of florals, tacos and silent disco with close family and friends. Getting to do what you love with the person you love is truly the best thing ever and we are both so grateful to be on this journey together. When we are not navigating around a wedding dance floor, chasing light with beautiful people in front of our lenses or in the office editing, you will usually find us in our green house, spending time with friends, family and our fur babies (Milo, Minshew and Juniper), enjoying live music and of course traveling together for our next adventure.

Hi! Nick here and I really don’t like writing bios, but what I do love is capturing beautiful cinematic love stories for absolutely incredible couples all over the world. I got my start in video at a very young age making home movies on the family camcorder and making fun videos for friends. I knew video would always be such an integral part of my life and in 2019 I graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Film Studies.

Having filmed 300+ weddings in the last five years, I have had the privilege of capturing so many wonderful love stories and getting to know so many amazing couples. I love taking a documentary style approach with each video, allowing moments to unfold authentically and naturally. The love and joy shared on a wedding day is like nothing I have experienced and it truly fuels the passion for my work.
