Nick + Jess // Jacksonville, FL

From the moment Jess and I spoke on the phone for their initial consultation to when I finally got to meet them both at their engagement session I already knew how much I would love them as people and working with them. Not to mention how excited I was to shoot their wedding at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens! Let’s just say my excitement level went way up when I learned they wanted to do their “First Look” with each other INSIDE of the penguin exhibit. Yes, inside of it with the cute little guys already in their tuxedos dressed for the occasion. I was so beyond stoked about how amazing and unique this was going to be. And yes I got to pet one of their little heads in between shooting.

My life is now complete ;)

Between their first look and Nick’s reaction, Jess’s amazing attention to details, their amazing family and friends who surrounded them and all of the emotional and all the sweet moments in between… their wedding was one of those that had me emotional and leaving at the end of the night in my feels reminded of why I love what I do so much.

So many logistics went into their day with their photo timeline, multiple locations, lots of moving parts and everything needing to be perfect and I am happy to say it went exactly how I envisioned it in my head if everything went according to plan. We also could not have asked for a more gorgeous day (65 degrees and sunny) with perfect light especially for an all outdoor event like this one.

Nick + Jess are both such a beautiful balance to each other as a couple and I am constantly laughing while shooting these two (my favorite thing) . They are both so easy going and fun loving people and it made my job easy.

I am so beyond happy for these two and how absolutely stunning their day turned out to be. Thank you for having me be apart of it! Love you both!
